Bromine in reef aquaria is important for many living organisms.
What concrete role the element bromine plays for many inhabitants of a reef aquarium has not yet been scientifically investigated in detail. However, it is known that certain algae species can synthesize bromine compounds as a defense against predators. Since a not inconsiderable consumption of bromine can also be measured in reef aquariums, it must be assumed that the trace element fulfills important physiological tasks for many organisms.
Dosing tip: The optimum concentration is 65 - 70 mg/l seawater.
10 ml increases the bromine content of 100 liters of pool volume by 5 mg/l.
